On October 24, St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Brampton joyfully celebrated its Golden Jubilee with a special Mass presided over by His Eminence Frank Cardinal Leo, marking his first pastoral visit to the parish. Nearly 800 parishioners gathered for this memorable evening of faith and thanksgiving.
During his visit, Cardinal Leo blessed the newly renovated foyer, offices and washrooms, unveiled the Golden Jubilee Memorabilia Book, and joined in cutting the anniversary cake. In a beautiful gesture of warmth and closeness, he spent more than an hour taking photographs with parishioners, creating treasured memories for many families.
In his homily, the Cardinal reminded parishioners that everything is about Jesus. He encouraged all to give thanks for 50 years of faith, prayer, sacraments and countless lives touched by God’s love, and to remain close to Jesus through the Eucharist and the Rosary.
Fifty years of God’s faithfulness, countless blessings, and one family united in Jesus. May St. Anthony’s always be a home where faith grows, hope shines and love brings us together for generations to come.
